Our Manufacturing client based in Sutton In Ashfield is seeking a experienced HSE and Quality individual to join their business on a permanent basis.
Hours : The hours are 40 pw Mon to Fri 8am - 4.30pm (30 minute unpaid daily break)

Mission Statement:
To manage the day-to-day Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental compliance. The role will lead continuous improvement initiatives, maintain ISO certifications, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting standardisation across the group.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety (Primary Focus):
- Lead and maintain compliance with ISO 45001 standards.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health & Safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across the site.
- Deliver H&S training and toolbox talks as required.
Quality & Environmental (Secondary Focus):
- Maintain and improve ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis and respond to internal and external Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives across departments.
- Supervise and support customer and internal audits.
- Ensure all documentation is maintained and ready for submission to relevant bodies.
Complaint Investigation & Resolution:
- Liaise with the Contracts Team to understand complaint context.
- Analyse production records and customer feedback.
- Conduct SCRA (Symptoms, Causes, Remedies, Actions) investigations.
- Provide traceability and resolution reports to stakeholders.
- Visit customer sites for investigations when necessary.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and develop the Quality team.
- Conduct interviews, onboarding, performance reviews, and manage attendance.
- Handle disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with company policy.
- Collaborate with HR and Occupational Health as needed.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain calibration records and coordinate third-party testing.
- Ensure all compliance records are stored electronically and are audit-ready.
- Manage distribution and calibration of measuring equipment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Quality Manager, Production Team, and Group H&S to ensure standardisation and best practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- NEBOSH Qualification (Essential)
- Proven experience in Health & Safety leadership, ideally within a production or manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
- Experience in root cause analysis, NCR management, and continuous improvement
- Strong audit and compliance background
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
