My client is currently recruiting for a Forklift driver/Yard Operative, you'll be essential in keeping the yard running smoothly. From loading and unloading goods to helping customers and maintaining a clean, safe environment - you'll be right at the heart of the operation.
You will work Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00 with a 30 minute break 40 hours paid per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating forklifts safely and efficiently (counterbalance)
- Loading/unloading customer and supplier vehicles
- Picking and preparing orders for delivery
- Providing excellent customer service in the yard
- Ensuring the yard is kept tidy and safe at all times
- A valid forklift license (essential)
- Previous yard, warehouse or builders' merchant experience (preferred)
- Good level of physical fitness - this is an active role
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
