Are you a methodical, enthusiastic individual with a passion for science?We are seeking a dedicated Science Technician to join our well-resourced and high-achieving Science Department at a welcoming secondary school in Sutton. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of dynamic and interactive science lessons.

�? Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical experiments in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

  • Support teachers during practical lessons to ensure safe and effective learning

  • Maintain and organise lab spaces, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

  • Monitor and replenish stock, and safely manage chemicals and materials in line with COSHH standards

  • Assist with the care of living specimens and the maintenance of scientific apparatus

? About You:
  • A strong interest in science (Science A-Levels or equivalent desirable)

  • Good organisational and time-management skills

  • Understanding of (or willingness to learn) laboratory safety procedures

  • A proactive and supportive attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Previous experience as a technician is helpful but not essential - full training will be provide
