Academics is currently partnering with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sutton, seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

In this role, you'll work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and behavioural challenges. Your support will play a vital role in promoting inclusive learning, encouraging independence, and fostering positive behaviour.

Role Details:

  • Location: Primary School, Sutton

  • Start Date: September

  • Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

  • Salary: 95-110 per day (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored one-to-one support for a nursery child with SEN, such as Autism and ADHD

  • Encourage positive behaviour and inclusive learning strategies

  • Contribute to creating a supportive, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to track and support pupil progress

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a school setting
