Analytical Chemist, Pharmaceutical (HPLC) Type: PermanentLocation: DerbySalary: £25000 - £32900 depending on experience (company bonus included too)Hours: Days (Mon - Friday)Our client, a leading Pharmaceutical manufacturer (CMO) is looking to recruit for an experienced HPLC/GC Analyst; the successful candidate will gain furthered career progression working for a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing company who offer a pre-defined development path. The company have a great reputation in the industry and their brands can be recognized in at any major retailer. The Role:• Analytical testing according to cGMP/GLP, SOPs and Work Instructions• Raw Material and Finished product QC testing • Assisting with batch release • Routine Quality Control testing using Analytical and Wet Chemistry techniques (HPLC, GC/MS, PH, titrations etc).• Updating results onto the LIMS system accurately and promptly• Working to departmental efficiency targets, ensuring timely completion of results• Adhering to the QMS and GMP/GLP standards at all times• Reporting and investigating any QC issues that may arise from test work• Calibrating and maintaining equipment • Ability to troubleshoot analytical and equipment problems, be pro-active.• Escalate non-resolvable technical/quality issues to management• Assist with training of laboratory staff.• Ensure the laboratory is kept to a standard that meets cGMP and would pass all audits.• Support other areas of the laboratory as required including calibration and cleaning responsibilities.• Provide support in the execution of project tasks and paperwork.The Person:• Will hold a Degree in a relevant - Scientific discipline (will be Analytical based - Pharmaceutical, Chemistry etc)• Solid experience in HPLC-UV, GC testing with experience in troubleshooting in an GLP/ GMP setting or similar. • The ideal candidate will have experience in method development and/or method validation Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
