Our client is an established manufacturer of special purpose machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Electrical Design Engineer.
The Electrical Design Engineer will work on various power-train projects and you will produce 3D CAD models and schematics for control panels, switch gear and cable harnesses etc etc.
The Role:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the design and development of schematics for electrical control panels, switch-gear, cable harnesses and more.
Duties will include but is not limited to the following;
- Work on new product design and development projects
- Produce 3D CAD models and schematics for control panels, switch gear and cable harnesses etc etc.
- Liaise with and advise the production team regards panel build /assembly
- Prepare BOM's
- Basic project management and provide technical support and documentation as required
- Ensure accurate documentation and drawing control
Candidate:
The Electrical Design Engineer will have excellent electrical / schematic design and engineering skills
You will have excellent AutoCAD electrical (or similar) skills and ideally you will have knowledge /experience in the design of control panels for power train, switch gear and cable harnesses.
Candidates will be competent in the use of 3D CAD software and you will be capable of control panel build.
You will have a recognised qualification in electrical design / engineering e.g. NVQ 3, HND, 18th edition.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 40 hrs
