CAP Qualified Powered Access Technician – The Role:
As a CAP Qualified Powered Access Technician at Mainline Group, you will be a key member of our service team, responsible for keeping our customers’ powered access equipment operating safely and efficiently. You will work both on-site at customer locations and in our workshop, handling a variety of equipment and technical challenges.
Your role is essential in maintaining the high standards of safety, reliability, and service that Mainline is known for. You will combine hands-on technical work with problem-solving, mentoring apprentices, and supporting the wider team to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
CAP Qualified Powered Access Technician - Key Responsibilities:
- Attending breakdowns on customer sites
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on powered access equipment
- Performing LOLER inspections and pre-delivery inspections (PDIs)
- Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical problems
- Overseeing the work of apprentices
- Complying with all safety regulations
CAP Qualified Powered Access Technician - You:
- Relevant experience or qualifications within the powered access industry eg. CAP, NVQ or manufacturer courses
- A sound mechanical knowledge in a powered access background
- Competence in electrical and hydraulic systems
- Experience in fault finding / diagnostics
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
