The Engineering & Manufacturing division of SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for experienced Production Manager, to work for a well-established group and take overall production responsibility for a new facility within their UK portfolio. The successful candidate will be experienced overseeing the start-up of new production areas / lines from conception to fully operational. This is an opportunity to be an instrumental part of a new site within a very well-established group, with excellent operational support.

Role Expectation

- Take the lead on the complete set up of a new production operation, which includes but no limited to;
- Work with suppliers to select, manage and oversee the installation of production machinery.
- Devise production and work-flow processes, including efficiency drives and quality control.
- Oversee and drive the recruitment process for production-based teams
- Establish new relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental legislation is met.
- Work collaboratively across other areas within the business and work in partnership with their existing production facilities.

Candidate Expectation

- Established Production / Factory Manager, with a strong background in new facility or production expansion set up and management.
- Can drive continuous improvement and constantly reviewing performance to highlight areas of improvement
- Work collaboratively with other manufacturing areas within the business and work closely with their existing production facility in Europe.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent working knowledge of manufacturing methodologies such as Lean and Quality Management
