Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team, specializing in social housing maintenance. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with Natfed 7.2, ensuring accurate cost estimation, contract management, and financial oversight of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for fit-out projects.
- Contract Management: Negotiate, review, and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Project Financial Oversight: Monitor project costs, ensuring financial efficiency and adherence to budgets.
- Natfed 7.2 Compliance: Apply expertise in Natfed 7.2 to ensure accurate pricing and cost control.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.
- Working with labour and material costs to financially support and increase cash flow.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project expenditures and financial reports.
Requirements:
- Experience: some experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the social housing sector.
- Natfed 7.2 Expertise: Strong understanding and practical experience with Natfed 7.2 pricing schedules.
- Qualifications: Degree or pre-grad/time served in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Driven, keen and ambitious; We are looking for somebody to grow with the company.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with cost estimation tools and project management software.
