We are actively seeking for SEN Learning Support Assistants around the Swadlincote, Derbyshire area. We have a constant supply need from schools to work closely with children with special educational needs. The role could be a mixture of working 1:1 and in small groups. The successful candidate should be confident when dealing with challenging behaviour, and have a positive approach to all learning.

In this role, you will plan, prepare and deliver assigned programmes of teaching and learning activities to an individual pupil modifying and adapting activities as necessary under the overall direction and supervision of a teacher. You will have experience working in KS1/Key stage 1 or KS2/key stage 2. If you feel like you have what it takes, please apply now!

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

  • SEN/Special needs experience
  • Able to work 1:1 and small groups
  • Hold a minimum level 2 teaching assistant qualification
  • Great communication skills
  • Extra SEN qualifications is highly desirable
