Description
- Lead the development of detailed designs and technical drawings for manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and efficiency.
- Analyse and improve existing product designs to enhance performance and reduce costs.
- Provide technical support during the production and implementation phases.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Manage design documentation and maintain accurate records of projects.
- Contribute to innovation by researching new materials and technologies.
- Support junior engineers with mentorship and guidance as needed.
Profile
A successful Senior Design Engineer should have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related field.
- 10 years proven experience in industrial or manufacturing design projects with full product development life cycle.
- Advanced SolidWorks skills (3D modelling, assemblies, 2D drawings) and PDM experience.
- Strong Project Management experience
- Knowledge of engineering standards and best practices within the industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
