We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Branch Operations Support Officer to join our team. Key Responsibilities:-
Deliver a high standard of customer service to encourage repeat and increased business, particularly with key accounts.

Ensure service level agreements are maintained and standard operating procedures are followed consistently.

Accurately process orders and manage customer accounts using the D365 system, including monitoring lost orders, recurring errors, disputed invoices, back and forward orders, and cash handling.

Maintain good stock availability within the local branch to support prompt and accurate deliveries and quotations.

Support the efficient operation of the branch by planning and optimising goods flow, prioritising prompt resolution of discrepancies and damages, and ensuring goods are correctly stored.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders to meet customer service deadlines.

Maintain high standards across warehouse operations, the trade counter, and the order office, ensuring cleanliness, health and safety, and compliance with internal audits.

Contribute to achieving sales growth and increased market share through excellent operational support.

Communicate regularly with the Branch Manager regarding sales, operations, marketing, customer needs, and competitor activity.

Develop and demonstrate the operational skills and product knowledge required to support the business effectively.

Collaborate with the team to regularly review service delivery standards and address areas for improvement.

Handle customer complaints professionally, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.

Maintain all company property in line with required standards.

Represent the company in a professional manner, including maintaining appropriate standards of dress and conduct.

Adhere to health and safety regulations, as outlined in the Employee Safety Handbook.

Ensure compliance with data protection procedures in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Undertake any additional duties as required by management.

Strong customer service ethos and a commitment to operational excellence.

Experience working in a busy branch or distribution environment is desirable.

Strong organisational and communication skills.

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Good IT skills and experience with operational systems (experience with D365 is an advantage).

A positive attitude and a willingness to take on a range of responsibilities.
