About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager (Security) to join our client's leadership team, based in their Swanley office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background in electronic security systems and proven managerial experience to take on a pivotal role within the business.

As the Technical Manager, you will act as the go-to authority for all technical matters, providing guidance, oversight, and support across installations, commissioning, and servicing. You will ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and support across all electronic security disciplines, from design to delivery.
  • Oversee and mentor engineering teams, offering guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and training.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues across systems including Access Control, CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Intercoms, and integrated enterprise solutions.
  • Ensure all works comply with NSI standards, health and safety requirements, and relevant regulations.
  • Work with senior management to develop processes, improve technical standards, and support continuous improvement.
  • Review and approve project specifications, documentation, and system designs.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of innovation.

Requirements

  • Previous managerial experience in the electronic security industry (essential).
  • Extensive experience and knowledge across all aspects of security disciplines (basic through to enterprise level).
  • High-level expertise with a wide range of security products and systems.
  • Strong technical foundation - "all the skills and knowledge of an engineer, but better."
  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements (including NSI).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an office-based managerial capacity.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
