Fawkes & Reece South are working with a main contractor who are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join one of their commercial teams. The team are working on projects on behalf of private clients worth up to 5m and will be based on bespoke contracts derived from NEC contracts. Their projects are in Sussex and Kent.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will report directly to a Senior Quantity Surveyor. Your role will be to make sure that commercial duties are being administered in line with a NEC contract.

You will be involved in (but not limited to):

  • Accurate monthly forecasting
  • Produce and send enquiries with relevant documentation to subcontractors
  • Producing monthly reports and cost value reconciliation
  • Manage any changes in a timely manner
  • Produce, submit, and agree monthly application with the client
  • Attend weekly progress meeting with the client
  • Produce and submit any compensation event quotations as

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Degree-qualified or equivalent

Ideally have worked on civil engineering or infrastructure projects

Ideally a member of RICS but not essential

You'll need good working knowledge and experience with the NEC contracts

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
