About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join a reputable and growing accountancy practice based in Swanley Village. This is a fantastic opportunity for an all-rounder with strong technical skills and at least 4+ years of experience in practice, looking to take the next step in their career.

Youll be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients and delivering a full suite of accounting servicesfrom bookkeeping to year-end accountswhile offering proactive client support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders

  • Production of management accounts, VAT returns, and corporation tax computations

  • Client bookkeeping and reconciliation of control accounts

  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members

  • Liaising directly with clients to provide advice and resolve queries

  • Ensuring all deadlines are met and work is carried out to a high standard

  • Keeping up to date with changes in accounting standards and tax regulations


Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a UK accountancy practice (essential)

  • ACCA/ACA part-qualified, finalist, or qualified (preferred but not essential)

  • Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and tax compliance

  • Confident in managing multiple client relationships

  • Proficient in accounting software (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
