12.21PH Temp to Perm role

We are looking for an experienced production Operator with some exposure to CNC machines to join a busy organisation based in Swansea.

The role will initially be a Temporary assignment but has the potential to become a permanent role for the right person.

The Role

You will work 08:00AM to 04:30PM Monday to Friday (no shift work required) 40 hour paid week. You will work as part of a small friendly team and be given opportunity to grow and develop within the role.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Manufacturing Team in maintaining and improving the 5S of the workshop environment
  • Use drilling equipment and jigs to manufacture specialist product lines.
  • Operate, when required, Doosan CNC Milling machine under the supervision of manufacturing team leader.
  • Adhere to work procedures and safe working practices.
  • Actively support other team members with material handling and processing.
  • Recognise cosmetic and dimensional non-conformances based on Company specifications and communicate effectively to engineering team
  • Undertake allocated CNC equipment cleaning (including fluid check etc)
  • Provide a flexible and collaborative approach to problem solving and implementing changes to ensure the business meets its production targets
  • Manage workload effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Preparation and movement of stock material using forklift and safe manual handling techniques.
  • Set up and cut stock material to required length using CNC saw and allocate to designated workstation
  • Preparation, packing and movement of finished component

Requirements

The successful applicant will have the following skills, experience and qualities:

  • Previous production experience essential
  • Experience in a CNC environment preferred
  • Previous forklift driving experience preferred
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Keen and willing to learn new tasks and skills
  • Driven and enthusiastic
