Estimator - ConstructionSalary: £55,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience)Location: Swansea (with occasional travel across South Wales)A well-established and growing construction company in South Wales is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its dynamic Pre-development Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to a variety of high-quality residential and commercial projects across the region.The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of construction projects. This includes analysing project documents such as drawings, plans, and specifications to assess the cost of labour, materials, and equipment. You'll play a key role in supporting pre-construction planning and ensuring projects are financially viable from the outset.Key Responsibilities:*Review project documentation to determine the scope of work, resource requirements, and cost factors*Conduct site visits as needed to assess project conditions and gather relevant data*Prepare detailed bills of quantities and cost estimates for labour, materials, plant, and subcontractor services*Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather essential project information*Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate and competitive pricing*Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and attend pre-bid meetings*Keep accurate records of all estimates, proposals, and relevant project documentation*Carry out other duties relevant to the position as requiredKey Requirements:*Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices*Excellent numerical and analytical skills*High attention to detail and strong communication abilities*Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite*Experience using estimating software (e.g. Evaluate or similar)*Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment*A degree in a construction-related field is desirable but not essentialWhat's on Offer:*Competitive salary between £55,000 and £70,000, dependent on experience*Clear opportunities for career development and progression*A variety of exciting and high-end construction projects to work on*Supportive and values-driven team culture*Access to a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme #LI-PB1
