Description
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and petty cash.
- Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortised and disposed of as appropriate.
- Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit with approved external auditor.
- Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and petty cash.
- Oversee the bookkeeping function including the maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
- Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy.
- Oversee the production of monthly reports including reconciliations as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for use by management, as well as the Audit/Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- A degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
- Professional accounting designation (ACCA, CIMA).
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficiency in the use of software for financial management.
- Experience in the FMCG industry.
- Strong financial system and business administration understanding.
