The Role:
We are currently seeking a qualified British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant to support students with hearing impairments across a range of local schools. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in young peoples lives while working in a supportive and collaborative school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils who use BSL.

Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.

Support the social, emotional, and educational development of students.

Help create an inclusive classroom environment, removing barriers to learning.

Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals where required.

Requirements:

A recognised British Sign Language qualification (minimum Level 2, ideally Level 3 or above).

Experience supporting children or young people with hearing impairments in an educational setting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed.

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
