Print Room Operator and Assembly

Temp to Perm role

We are looking for an Print Room Operator / Electronic Assembler to join a busy organisation based in Swansea.

The role will initially be a Temporary assignment but has the potential to become a permanent role for the right person.

The Role

You will work 08:00AM to 04:30PM Monday to Friday (no shift work required). You will work as part of a small friendly team and be given opportunity to grow and develop within the role.

The role will be split 50/50 between the printing and assembly duties

Duties and responsibilities will include:

Print Room

  • Printing of serial numbers, instructions, box labels and equipment labels.
  • Working on a Roland BN-20 printer

Electronic Assembly

  • Inspection, cleaning & preparation of product
  • Assembly and testing of standard product
  • Soldering and use of hand & power tools
  • Operate various items of machinery
  • Follow processes in accordance with production documents
  • Assist in the preparation of test & production procedures
  • Completion of production & test documentation
  • Workplace housekeeping
  • Receipt & storage of material
  • Packaging & dispatch of finished goods

Requirements

The successful applicant will have the following experience and skills:

  • Previous printing experience
  • Electronic assembly experience
  • A team player
  • Able to solder
  • A flexible person able to multitask
  • Must be able to read and perform basic maths calculations easily
  • Trainable on various machinery and intricate production techniques
  • Must have strong general electrical assembly skills
  • Able to concentrate in a busy work environment
  • Be detail-oriented in order to maintain a high level of quality
  • Keep accurate accounts of time and production to ensure production is on schedule
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Solid team player
  • Fit and active able to lift fairly heavy items and repetitively use arms, hands, and fingers in the manipulation of parts
  • Must demonstrate good hand/eye coordination as well as good manual dexterity.
