We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Adult Support Worker to join our team. This role involves supporting adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities.
- Assist individuals with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household duties.
- Develop and implement support plans in collaboration with individuals and their families.
- Encourage and facilitate participation in social and recreational activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of support provided.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals we support.
- Work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and other professionals.
Requirements
- Experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities is desirable.
- Three 12-hour shifts per week.
You will need an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Registration with Social Care Wales is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing needs.
