Synergy Personnel are looking for a talented and experienced person to join our client in Swindon, Wiltshire to make a positive impact within a growing business. Responsible for managing the design process from pre-construction through to and including the construction phase for projects up to £30m.

Our Client undertakes diverse and interesting projects ranging from traditional refurbishment projects to complex new build design and build, and everything in between, with values ranging from £1m-£30m.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE
FOR, AND EXCELLENT AT:

  • Looking ahead and planning all aspects of the project, identifying challenges and bringing imaginative and cost-effective solutions to the table
  • Working within current legislation, standards and codes of practice where needed
  • Looking to eliminate health and safety and financial risk during construction
  • Keeping a good flow of quality information to ensure pace with the project timescale
  • Having the ability to build good solid relationships with all stakeholders and have open and clear dialogue

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • Ability to work equally well as part of a team or on your own
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and be understood
  • Commercial awareness
  • A broad understanding of alternative forms of procurement, to include frameworks, negotiated and 2 stage tenders

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience covering similar roles
  • Understanding of traditional construction and D&B
  • Thorough understanding of CDM regulations
  • Knowledge of software – for example BIM and 4Projects
  • Design qualification considered
