he team works with children under 16 years old who have a care plan of long-term foster care or adoption. Children transfer into the team after care proceedings conclude and remain with us until they are sixteen. We maintain manageable caseloads of between 14 and 16 children for a full-time worker.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a pod of social workers to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Provide reflective supervision, focusing on the relationship between social workers and young people.
  • Ensure that the needs of children and young people are met through supportive and informed supervision.
  • Collaborate with a team and service manager to support staff development and service delivery.
Person Specification
  • Strong understanding of the importance of building relationships between social workers and young people.
  • Ability to provide reflective supervision to enhance social worker performance and child outcomes.
  • Commitment to professional development through extensive induction and training opportunities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to support and manage a team effectively.
