Job Summary
Corr Recruitment is seeking Class 2 drivers for our client based in Swindon, for multi-drop delivery. 4:00-6:00 AM start times with guaranteed 10-hour shifts plus possible daily overtime. Pay is £15.50 per hour with overtime at £23.25 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of lorries to ensure they are in good working condition
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
- Adhere to all safety protocols while on the road and during loading/unloading processes
- Report any lorry maintenance issues or accidents immediately to management
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence (C or C+E) with a clean driving record (no more than 6 points)
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks as required by the role
