Job Summary
Corr Recruitment are seeking Class 2 drivers for our client based in Swindon, for multi-drop delivery. 4-6am start - 10hr shifts plus possible overtime on the daily basis.Pay is 15.5 p/hr. Any overtime on a daily basis will be paid 23.25p/h.
Duties
- Operate and drive lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while on the road and during loading/unloading processes.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to management.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence (C or C+E) with a clean driving record (no more than 6 pts).
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role,
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting heavy items when necessary.
- Safety boots, High Viz, Dark Plain Clothing.
