The DT department is well-resourced and ambitious, and from September 2025, the school is seeking a Design Technology Teacher with a Food Technology specialism to join their thriving team. This is a full-time role until the end of the academic year, with the exciting possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

As a DT Teacher (Food Technology), you’ll inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop essential life skills, creativity, and an understanding of nutrition and food science. With excellent facilities and a collaborative team, you’ll have the opportunity to make Food Technology exciting, engaging, and relevant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Inspire creativity, confidence, and practical skills in every student

  • Adapt lessons to support and challenge learners of all abilities

  • Teach the importance of nutrition, health, and food safety

  • Contribute to extracurricular opportunities such as cookery clubs and competitions

What We’re Looking For
  • QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)

  • Specialism in Food Technology (preferred)

  • A passion for food, nutrition, and equipping students with essential skills for life

  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
