Academics Ltd is working with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Swindon that is seeking a Teaching Assistant - Autism Specialist. This full-time role is to start as soon as possible and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
This position is ideal for someone looking to further their experience as an Autism Specialist within a secondary school environment. You'll play a vital role in supporting students with autism, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.
The Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with ASC

Implement individual learning strategies tailored to each student's specific needs

Collaborate closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals

Promote independence, positive behaviour, and emotional wellbeing

Help maintain a calm and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:

Proven experience supporting children or young people with ASC, preferably in a school setting

A patient, empathetic, and consistent approach

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A relevant qualification is desirable but not essential
