We are searching for a Senior level candidate or above who is interested in expanding their present skill set and project management abilities in this position. Key duties include:

  • Managing UK habitat classification surveys and (licenced) protected species surveys;
  • Developing complex fee quotations quickly and building tenders;
  • Producing technical reports (PEA, BNG, protected species, habitat management plans, BREEAM, HRA and EcIA reports);
  • Managing medium- to large-scale projects and being able to monitor financial progress;
  • Managing junior ecologists.
  • Solving legal and logistical puzzles

Fully flexible working

This role is a fully remote position, working from home and in the field in your local area. You have the flexibility of managing your own time without having to visit a office location.

Are You Fit to Fill This Position?Senior Ecologists and current Principals seeking a change are encouraged to apply.

You must hold at least one protected species licence, a relevant bachelor's degree (or higher), and full membership in the Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management, or MCIEEM. An accreditation in Personal Track Safety would be advantageous.

  • Pay close attention to detail, particularly when writing technical reports;
  • Be familiar with UK wildlife legislation and know how to apply it correctly;
  • Communicate clearly and consistently;
  • Be affable and supportive of the team, even on difficult days; and
  • Full UK driving license
