PositionOverview

Theidealcandidatewillberesponsibleforassembling,testing,andmaintainingcableharnessesusedinvariouselectronicsystems.Thisrolerequiresahighlevelofprecision,technicalknowledge,andadherencetoqualitystandards.

JobResponsibilities:

Assembly:

  • Interpretandfollowwiringdiagrams,schematics,andtechnicaldrawings.
  • Cut,strip,crimp,andsolderwirestoassemblecableharnessesaccordingtospecifications.
  • Installconnectors,lugs,andprotectivecoveringsasperdesignrequirements.

TestingandQualityControl:

  • Conductcontinuityandelectricaltestsoncompletedharnessesusingtestingequipment.
  • Inspectfinishedproductsforcompliancewithqualitystandardsandresolveanyidentifiedissues.

DocumentationandReporting:

  • Maintainaccuraterecordsofassemblyprocesses,materialsused,andtestresults.
  • Providefeedbackonpotentialdesignorprocessimprovements.

EquipmentMaintenance:

  • Performroutinemaintenanceontoolsandmachineryusedintheharnessingprocess.

ComplianceandSafety:

  • Adheretocompanypolicies,includingsafetyprotocolsandindustryregulations.
  • Ensuretheuseofpersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE)andmaintainacleanandorganisedworkspace.

RequiredSkills:

Experience:

  • Minimum2yearsofexperienceincableharnessassemblyorasimilarrole.

TechnicalSkills:

  • Proficiencyinreadingandinterpretingwiringdiagramsandschematics.
  • Skilledinsoldering,crimping,andworkingwithvariousconnectorsandtools.
  • Familiaritywithtestingequipmentsuchasmultimetersandcontinuitytesters.

PreferredQualifications

  • Experienceinqualityinspectionandtesting.
  • Strongattentiontodetailandaccuracy.
  • Goodhand-eyecoordinationandmanualdexterity.
  • Abilitytoworkindependentlyandaspartofateam.
  • Excellentorganisationalandrecord-keepingskills.
