We're seeking experienced Service Engineers to join a growing fire and security business with opportunities in both Swindon and Brighton. About the Role


As a Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for planned maintenance, reactive callouts, and remedial works across a varied customer base. You'll ensure compliance with British Standards and current legislation, while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.



Key Responsibilities

  • Perform service visits, fault diagnosis, and remedial works across fire and security systems.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding service outcomes and any follow-up actions.
  • Maintain van stock to support first-time fix rates.
  • Identify non-conformances and report recommendations for quotations.
  • Respond to emergency calls within agreed timeframes.
  • Complete all documentation accurately and in line with company standards.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in fire and security service engineering.
  • Familiarity with British Standards (e.g. BS5839, SP203) and SSAIB regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points).

Working Hours
