We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee all financial aspects for a well-established forward-thinking client in the Swindon area. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial health and stability of the business, supporting operational decision-making with financial insights, and ensuring compliance with corporate financial policies and regulatory requirements. The Finance Manager will play a key role in driving cost optimization, managing working capital, and contributing to the business’s overall strategic objectives.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Collaborate with senior management to establish financial objectives and direct the future financial planning of the business.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to manage growth, including establishing necessary controls with various departments.
  • Provide strategic decision support through financial analysis and insights on performance and risks.
  • Facilitate annual business and financial planning, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Conduct performance analysis of the business, reviewing business performance with management against budget targets and performance efficiency.
  • Engage in costing and pricing of products and parts, ensuring optimal cost control and budgetary management.
  • Manage working capital effectively to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee risk management and compliance, implementing strategies to protect the business from financial disruptions.
  • Responsible for comprehensive financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making and present outcomes to senior management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including SAP.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional certification (e.g., CFA/CPA) is advantageous.
