We are looking for a proactive Infrastructure Engineer to support the school's IT services. This role will focus on delivering high-quality support, maintaining IT infrastructure, and contributing to projects that enhance digital learning and cybersecurity.

About the Role

As Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the school's technology services. You will be responsible for day-to-day support, systems management, and ensuring the IT infrastructure meets the needs of both staff and pupils. Working within a collaborative team, you will help deliver excellent service, maintain systems, and contribute to ongoing IT projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-class helpdesk support and maintain high service standards.
  • Manage IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud services.
  • Implement and oversee cybersecurity measures aligned with best practices.
  • Collaborate on IT architecture design and project delivery.
  • Maintain backup, disaster recovery plans, and asset management.
  • Support user account management and access controls.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to their technical development.

About You

  • Experience managing enterprise-level cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365).
  • Strong network management skills, including wired and wireless infrastructure.
  • Hands-on expertise with virtualisation technologies and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive and flexible with strong problem-solving abilities.
