Astute's Renewables Team is partnering with a leading global specialist in renewable energy, to recruit a Site Manager to deliver site management services on turnkey EPC solar PV and battery storage projects in the Swindon location and across the UK.

The Site Manager role comes with a salary up to 65,000 plus competitive bonus, vehicle and fuel card and other benefits to be discussed.

Responsibilities and duties of the Site Manager role

Reporting to the Head of Site Management you will:

  • Lead on-site management of utility-scale solar PV and battery storage projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery.
  • Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities, including materials, logistics, and deliveries.
  • Manage key project resources such as engineering teams, quality managers, and subcontractors.
  • Act as the main point of contact with stakeholders including clients, ICPs, DNOs, landowners, OEMs, and technical advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with UK HSE and CDM regulations, always maintaining the highest HSQE standards.
  • Monitor and control quality, ensuring works meet contractual and technical requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver site documentation for project handover, O&M, and safety files.
  • Provide timely site reporting on health and safety, progress, and quality.
  • Identify risks to budget, programme, or quality and escalate to the project management team.


Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager (or in a similar leadership role).
  • SMSTS certification.
  • NEBOSH Health & Safety Management for Construction.
  • Experience managing utility scale solar projects highly advantageous.
