M4 Recruitment are currently seeking a Food Production Engineer to join one of our well known clients, based in Swindon.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday

The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and maintenance program for all machinery, ensuring that all required manuals and necessary spares are up to date and on site
  • Respond quickly to machine breakdowns, completing any immediate repairs that can be carried out to get the machine back up and running ASAP
  • Carry out root cause analysis on any breakdown of the production machinery, schedule any preventative work required to prevent any further issues
  • Assist in the training of the manufacturing and production staff
  • Analyze production processes and implement improvements
  • Attend initial production runs to ensure machine settings are optimal for the new product and problem solve any machinery related issues
  • Ensure all work carried out is compliance and within accordance with the company and legislative requirements for H&S and adhere to quality management systems

Experience within a Food Production company would be an advantage
