Join our team as an Exams Officer, where you will play a pivotal role in the smooth execution of examinations and accreditations. This position involves leading various examination team functions, assisting the Examinations Manager, and ensuring the integrity of assessments.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead examination team functions, providing training and shadowing the Examinations Manager.
  • Utilize system knowledge to create exam board data, transmit entries, and develop computerized processes.
  • Assist with organizing student entries, collecting fees, and completing entry lists and forms.
  • Develop and promote administrative systems for examinations and assessments.
  • Support the issue of results to students and collate reports and statistical information.
  • Ensure availability of appropriately trained staff at all stages of the exams process.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support to college staff and students.
  • Guarantee the integrity of assessments through compliance with guidelines and regulations.
  • Compile timetables for the assessment calendar, ensuring practical arrangements are met.
  • Deputize for the Examinations Manager and support wider MI and Funding functions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and mathematics (or willingness to obtain).
  • Level 2 ICT qualification or equivalent (or willingness to obtain).
  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or relevant experience (desirable).
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Previous supervisory experience (desirable).
  • Proven experience in organized administrative skills and record keeping.
  • Experience of operating within budgetary constraints (desirable).
  • Previous experience in an Examinations Environment (desirable).
Skills and Abilities:
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
