We are working with a Swindon Borough Council who are looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to join their team due to the increase in demand.
Location:Â Swindon Borough CouncilÂ
Set-up: Hybrid – 2-days per week on-site
Rate: £575/day via umbrella inside IR35
Duration: Initially9-months Â
Hours:Â Full-time position
Responsibilities include:
- A Re-procurement of the managed stores. The contract is currently held by Travis Perkins and the project will take around 6-9 months to procure given they need stock lists updated
- Full life cycle from commencement to completion required
- Some big and complex pieces of procurement including possible bespoke framework contract but not via a third-party framework
- Undertake the end-to-end tendering of projects only, not a strategic, development or management
Requirements:
- Local Government experience required for initial shortlisting, then thereafter at the client’s discretion
- Must be CIPS qualified and have undertaken procurement work in the public sector and certification in the new Procurement Act 2023
- Candidates must have CIPS qualifications and have undertaken procurement work in the public sector and TPP certification
