Recruitment Consultant

Job Overview

As a Recruitment Consultant, you will play a key role in connecting talented candidates with employers across various industries. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle—sourcing, attracting, and placing candidates—while building strong relationships with both clients and candidates. This position requires a proactive, solutions-oriented individual with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their hiring needs, organizational culture, and recruitment processes.

• Provide expert advice on market trends, salary benchmarks, and recruitment best practices.

• Collaborate with clients to create accurate and compelling job descriptions and person specifications.

Candidate Sourcing

• Source high-quality candidates using a range of methods, including job boards, social media, referrals, headhunting, and internal databases.

• Conduct interviews and screening calls to assess candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit.

• Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.

End-to-End Recruitment Management

• Manage the full recruitment process, from initial consultation through to final placement.

• Present qualified candidates to clients and coordinate interview scheduling and feedback.

• Support candidates with interview preparation, career advice, and offer negotiations.

• Provide post-placement follow-up to ensure successful onboarding and retention.

Market Research & Business Development

• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and salary data.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, lead generation, and referrals.

• Contribute to the agency’s growth by cultivating a network of potential clients and candidates.

Reporting & Administration

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in recruitment CRM and applicant tracking systems.

• Prepare regular reports on recruitment metrics, placements, and client satisfaction.

• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Skills, Qualifications & Attributes

• Proven experience in a recruitment, talent acquisition, or client-facing role.

• Strong understanding of recruitment practices and the end-to-end hiring process.

• Familiarity with employment legislation and regulatory compliance.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruitment software (e.g. ATS, CRM systems).

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Strong time management, multitasking, and negotiation abilities.

• Professional, ethical, and committed to delivering high-quality service.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client meetings and site visits.
