Tradewind are currently recruiting for a Teaching Fellow in Secondary Phase to work in an established secondary academy in Swindon. This role would be starting in September 2025 on a 12-month contract with the opportunity to continue in to the next year and train to become a teacher. During this year long placement, the Teaching fellow will carry out the role of a Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor. They will have enhanced opportunities to take on small groups and cover some lessons in order to develop their confidence and skills.

We are looking for a Teaching Fellow - Secondary Phase who can:
* Be an inspirational and enthusiastic individual* Have or be on course to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree* Be an excellent role model who promotes the skills, attributes, and behaviours important in a classroom.* Have experience working with children.* Be committed to work as a part of a team.* Be highly organised.* Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Teaching Fellows complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short-term for whole classes, and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils' achievement, progress and development.
This Secondary academy is located in Swindon, which is easy to get to via car and public transport. This could be walking distance depending where you live. If you drive, you can easily access the school from Swindon, Bristol, Devizes, Chippenham, Cirencester, and Melksham
