Role and responsibilities:

We are currently collaborating with a forward-thinking mainstream Primary School with an on-site provision dedicated to serving children with complex and additional needs. This presents a unique chance to gain insight into the future of Specialist provisions within mainstream settings and their operational frameworks.

The school run a 15 week SEMH program with the goal of retaining students in a mainstream setting rather than moving into a specialist provision. The role will involve working with small groups of students and on a 1:1 basis either within the provision or the classroom.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a desire to support children who have had a challenging start to life. Experience supporting students with complex needs is a must. The ability to engage in a positive manner and de-escalate children is crucial to success in this role.

The school will provide support and further training, however a strong background in similar work is needed.
