Cover Supervisor

We are recruiting Cover Supervisors for a secondary school in Tameside.

You don’t need any specific experience or qualification to be a Cover Supervisor, we’ll assess each application on merit. This is a great way to get school based experience if you are thinking of a career in teaching or education in general.

School

• 11-16 academy.
• Excellent facilities.

Role of a Cover Supervisor

• Covering classes for absent teachers across all subjects.
• Lesson plans will be provided by the school.
• Your role would be to follow the lesson plan, make sure pupils are on task, safe and behaving well.

Experience/Skills Needed as Cover Supervisor

• You don’t need any specific qualifications although a degree in a subject commonly taught in secondary schools is an advantage.
• Initiative, flexibility and the ability to manage challenging behaviour.
• A driving licence and access to your own vehicle aren’t essential will increase the chances of you obtaining work.
