Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Promote a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student progress
- Assess, track, and report on student achievement and contribute to intervention strategies
- Participate in departmental planning, enrichment activities, and whole-school initiatives
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline in line with school policies
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support the ethos and values of the school
Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A degree in English or a related discipline
- A proven ability to teach English at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A reflective approach to teaching and a desire to continually develop professional practice
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students
