Van Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Cardiff area. We are looking for experienced Van Drivers (CAT B) to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday. , start times from 4am - 6am when training but can be flexible once this is complete (as long as all calls are done)

Pay Rate: 12.21 per hour PAYE (Mon- Fri) / 13.50 per hour PAYE (Saturday)

Location: Cardiff, CF15

Job Type: Ongoing with potential to go permanent for the right candidate

The role:

Collecting waste bags from 1100 bins and bringing these back to the depot

. Please note that this role will obtain offensive waste such as nappy waste from the 1100 bins.

. This role will entail a tail lift

Ensure timely and efficient mat exchange at each stop, using a PDA to record the exchange.

Maintain a high standard of service and professionalism when interacting with clients.

Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.

Safely load and unload the waste bags into the vehicle and in the depot

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence.

Have at least 1 year of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.

No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

Availability for early morning shifts and occasional weekend work.

Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
