About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil QC Inspector with EPC contractor-side site experience (not client representative experience) to join our team for the Liverpool Bay Project, which includes decommissioning and carbon capture & storage activities.

Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will perform inspections on materials, equipment, steel structures, civil/structural works, installation activities, and HVAC on site in accordance with the project QC Plan.

Please note: Candidates with more than 20 years of total experience will not be considered.

Purpose of the Position

As Civil QC Inspector, you will ensure that all civil construction and installation activities comply with specifications, standards, and project quality requirements. You will play an essential role in supporting high-quality execution throughout all project phases.

Responsibilities

  • Follow relevant specified procedures, issue Quality Records, and write non-conformance reports for the Quality Control Supervisor
  • Verify the correct preparation of foundations and reinforcements
  • Monitor atmospheric conditions during concrete pouring operations and confirm correct curing procedures
  • Check certifications for element mixes, chemical analyses, grain size analyses, and sampling operations
  • Review laboratory test results, including sub-grade dry density, moisture content, compression strength tests, casting activities, concrete pouring records, and materials quality
  • Collect and manage documents certifying tests, controls, and inspections
  • Ensure all civil works and testing records are properly retrievable within the final As-Built dossier
  • For subcontractor activities, ensure correct implementation of approved QC/Inspection Test Plans, witness inspections, and collect relevant QC records
  • Ensure conformity with the Quality Control Plan and obtain the required documentation

Candidate Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years as a Civil QC Inspector or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years in QC activities within the Oil & Gas industry or similar
  • Must have EPC contractor site experience
  • Client-representative-only profiles will not be considered
  • Candidates with more than 20 years of experience will not be considered

Education:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Quality Control inspection activities for civil works

IT Skills:

  • Proficiency with MS365

Eligibility:

  • Permanent right to work in the UK is required
