SF Recruitment is working with a fantastic educational organisation based in the north Birmingham area. They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Management Accountant to support the Head of Management Accounts in delivering accurate and timely consolidated accounts.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and purpose-driven finance team, playing a key role in helping ensure sound financial stewardship across multiple entities.
Key tasks:

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Head of Management Accounts in the preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Collate and review financial data from individual entites and central teams for inclusion in consolidated reports.
- Prepare supporting schedules and working papers for consolidated accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and inter-academy transactions.
- Perform variance analysis and assist in the commentary for senior leadership, Trustees, and other key stakeholders.
- Liaise with individual academy finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.
- Contribute to forecasting and budgeting processes, supporting organisation-wide financial planning and analysis.
- Help ensure compliance with the organisations financial procedures and reporting requirements.
- Support internal and external audit processes, including the preparation of year-end schedules and responses to audit queries.
- Assist with ongoing improvements to financial systems, controls, and reporting processes across the organisation.
