Join my client, a trusted provider of fuel and lubricants across the UK for nearly 70 years. They are looking for an Account Executive to drive growth and maintain a portfolio of commercial, industrial, and agricultural accounts, as well as fuel sales in their domestic sector. This role reports to the Regional Commercial Manager and is key to increasing their market share and profitability.
Day-to-Day of the Role:- Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act and company policies.
- Manage domestic business through proactive and reactive communication via telephone, email, and online enquiries.
- Develop and manage a commercial portfolio of SME customers.
- Drive customer revenue, volume, and gross margin improvement using company business tools and guidelines.
- Grow customer profitability organically through effective price management and by promoting additional products and services.
- Meet monthly targets and KPIs as set by the Regional Commercial Manager.
- Uphold the highest standards in customer service, handle queries, process orders, and manage customer complaints effectively.
- Upsell range of products and services to maximise revenue.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department and Regional Commercial Manager to minimise customer churn through targeted campaigns.
- Integrate new business into your account portfolio, ensuring all opportunities for cross-selling and upselling are explored.
- Develop a robust pipeline of new & lapsed customer opportunities to exceed sales targets.
- Proven key account management experience in a target-driven environment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Demonstrated success in a competitive sales environment.
- Experience in building relationships to secure customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple KPIs.
- Experience in a target-driven telephony sales environment is desirable.
- Fuel sales experience is preferred but not essential.
- Business development experience is preferred but not essential.
