Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Commercial Manager to lead commercial operations for high-value programmes within the water, environmental, defence, and nuclear sectors. In this role, you will manage procurement, contracts, and project delivery, ensuring financial transparency, compliance, and performance across multi-work stream programmes. You'll collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, delivery teams, and supply chain partners to drive smart, resilient infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement strategy, contract execution, and post-contract delivery

  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks while ensuring financial clarity

  • Manage cost planning, change control, and final account negotiation

  • Oversee supplier performance and foster strong supply chain relationships

  • Ensure compliance with NEC3/4, FIDIC, UK law, and regulatory frameworks

  • Support work-winning teams and guide junior team members

What You Bring:

  • Strong financial modelling and commercial problem-solving skills

  • Experience in water, environment, defence, or nuclear sectors

  • Expertise in NEC3/4 contracts and risk management
