Midas Recruitment is delighted to be supporting this successful, established international organisation, which, due to ongoing growth, is creating a new position for a Finance Specialist to join its finance team at the UK headquarters in Tamworth.

Finance Specialist Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, and working in a team of 3, the Finance Specialist's responsibilities are broad and varied, including;

  • Processing and controlling Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Assisting in the identification of ways to reduce risks in financial control
  • Preparing Bank and Cashbook reconciliations
  • Supporting the control and recording of fixed assets
  • Assisting in the preparation of the monthly financial reports
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Assist in Corporation tax computations
  • Maintaining files for quarterly/annual audit purposes

Finance Specialist Skills and Experience:

The Finance Specialist should offer;

  • Some accounting qualification, e.g. accounting degree, AAT or be studying ACCA or CIMA
  • Strong skills in Excel
  • Experience of working in a busy accounting department
  • Confident, clear communication style
  • A commercial mindset and business acumen
