Finance Specialist Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, and working in a team of 3, the Finance Specialist's responsibilities are broad and varied, including;
- Processing and controlling Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Assisting in the identification of ways to reduce risks in financial control
- Preparing Bank and Cashbook reconciliations
- Supporting the control and recording of fixed assets
- Assisting in the preparation of the monthly financial reports
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Assist in Corporation tax computations
- Maintaining files for quarterly/annual audit purposes
Finance Specialist Skills and Experience:
The Finance Specialist should offer;
- Some accounting qualification, e.g. accounting degree, AAT or be studying ACCA or CIMA
- Strong skills in Excel
- Experience of working in a busy accounting department
- Confident, clear communication style
- A commercial mindset and business acumen
