Are you an organised and proactive administrator looking to build a career in private client law? We're working in partnership with a well-established, multi-office law firm to recruit a Private Client Paralegal to support the Senior Solicitor and Head of Department based in Tamworth.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected legal practice with 10 offices across the region, offering long-term development and potential routes to a training contract.



About the Role:

You'll be providing dedicated administrative and legal support to a senior fee earner. You will be responsible for keeping the local private client caseload structured, timely, and progressing smoothly. This is a varied and busy support role suited to someone highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision once trained.



Key Responsibilities:

Answering and directing client calls and queries professionally
Managing the Senior Solicitors diary and booking client appointments
Typing dictation including file and attendance notes, and Will instructions
Preparing and sending client care letters, estate correspondence, and probate applications
Drafting Wills and assisting with estate administration tasks
Uploading and maintaining client ID and file documentation in the case management system
Receiving and processing post, scanning and copying documents
Preparing invoices and processing client payments
Liaising with the Probate Registry and the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG)
Ensuring workflow runs efficiently and files are kept accurate and up to date
Assisting with Will signings as a witness
Handling file closures and general office administrative duties


What We're Looking For:

Strong administrative skills, ideally with some experience in a legal environment (private client preferred but not essential)
Excellent organisational ability and the confidence to manage a busy workload independently
High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused mindset
A professional and friendly telephone manner
The ability to work effectively with a senior solicitor who is often out of the office with clients
