Quantity Surveyor

Location: Staffordshire (In Office with regular travel)

Salary: £55,000 (DoE)

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join a growing commercial QS team and play a key role in delivering high-profile construction projects across the UK.

The Role:

Measure financial and physical performance of projects against order targets.
Drive best value from suppliers, subcontractors, and internal resources.
Manage interim and final accounts with clients and the supply chain.
Negotiate and agree client/main contractor contract documentation.
Support procurement, supplier selection, and order placement.
Oversee supplier/subcontractor commercial management, including variation accounts and payment processing.
Track project progress, change management, and cost control.
Provide commercial and contractual advice to internal teams.
Produce monthly cost/valuation reports and cash flow forecasts.

Requirements:

Experience in quantity surveying within construction.
Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, and cost management.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage supplier/subcontractor relationships effectively.
Willingness to travel to construction sites across the UK.

Desirables:

Experience working with prefabrication or modular construction methods.
Knowledge of contract law and construction regulations.
Familiarity with digital project management tools.
