We are working in partnership with Primary Schools in theTamwortharea to support them in their recruitment for1-1 Teaching Assistants.
Roles vary in supporting pupils on a 1-1 basis with various needs which may include:
- Autism
- ADHD
- SEMH needs
- Learning Delay
- Physical Disabilities
- Visual/hearing impairment
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans
- Provide support and supervision to students with special needs, including those with autism
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with individualized instruction and behaviour management strategies
- Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)Support students in their social, emotional, and academic growth
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or autism
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping children learn and grow
- Ability to provide care for toddlers, including diapering, feeding, and maintaining a safe environment
